My rit is very fun to play. I like that you can be offensive with channeling or with spirits, or be defensive with other spirits and weapon spells.
And cmon that Norn rit armor rocks

I dunno. I play my Warrior over my Derv most of the time. So unless you plan on doing some 130 farming or some other thing that only Dervs do just put the Derv on the back burner.
The choice between Rit and Necro is hard. Rits have a rather large damage output AND support spells and spirits while Necros have a huge selection of hexes and much better support spells. Both are good MM's. I prefer Necros because I like to run into battle quickly. Rits have a few seconds setup time and people hate waiting for you to put up your spirits, even if those spirits end up saving their butts.

Buy more slots.... keep both.
I've got about 18 character slots now. The amount of money I've shelled out to A-Net for that is starting to get a wee bit silly, but it is worth it.
If you have to delete one then delete the Dervish.
Rits and Necros are both > Dervish.
If you HAVE to choose between those two, it depends whether you prefer to farm more or play normally.
Ritualists win @ farm.
Necros win @ general play.

If you like not being able to get into groups, play Dervish.
If you like to solo and make money, play Ritualist.
If you like a combination of soloing and getting into groups, play Necromancer. If you want more info: http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page have a look on there. It may help you better decide on what you want to do.
Don't delete any of them imo. Great mules and they even get minpets (if you care about minis that is). My 2 cents.

Keep the Necro. Go Necro/Rt if you want to use skills.

Necro. SR > spawning power.
You could keep them all though. Not like they're going anywhere. Use them as mules.

The necro and the Rit are the two I would keep, the dervish can be a storage char, keep them as long as you can just to pick up birthday presents!

I keep my Rit, and my necro has not been taken to EotN altought my necro is my first char.
It is just based on personal taste on playing style. I feel boring on playing curse build since the animation of skills in curse line sux,and I am tired on MM.
But it is just me.

Wow, this is such a strong opinionated topic, I'm very happy that I've asked this question and all of you are giving your thoughts on it!
Does appear unanimous to keep the characters reguardless..

Also, I agree with cyberjanet. If you like to deal large amounts of damage with your ele, than you might prefer ritualist.
However, it really is up to whatever you prefer. I'd play both for a little bit, figure out which one you like best and go with that.
Also, I wouldn't delete any of the characters unless you absolutely need the slot. There's no harm in just keeping them to get the birthday presents. Most of the time, that's all eight out of ten of my characters do (although I do plan to play through the game slowly with every class... not sure how far I'll get though).

necromancers have ALOT more options and their primary attribute can abuse PvE way more effeciently then the length of a weapon or the life of a spirit.
N/Mo= Healing or Prot/Farming
N/Rt= Spirit Spammer/Healer
N/Me= Hexer
N/A= Deadly Arts and a good amount of Farming builds
N/W= not many options at all
N/E= Lots of E management
N/D= Not many options
N/P= Shouts etc
N/R= A few good RA/Farming builds
The Necro has like 2 secondaries that does not really add alot, but the other professions as secondaries can be very amazing. The Ritualist is not too fun in PvE from my experience, attempted to make 3 deleted each one, in love with the necro.

I have played Necro a lot (my first character and also the only one I did all of Prophecies on) and I have played Rit a lot.
I vote for the Ritualist.
First reason is for their armor. It is awesome, much more so than Necromancer armor.
Next is versatility. A Ritualist can take over the roles of almost any place in the party.
You can be an MM, a minion bomber, a spiker, a healer, a protector, a spirit spammer, an interrupter (Warmonger's Weapon: EVERY attack you use interrupts an enemy, this really annoys casters when I use it against them in PvP), a better Splinter Barrager than the R/Rt, a tank (Rt/D), and so much more. And of course you can farm extremely well. Less variety of areas than a 55 but the areas you can farm (which include UW) you can do better than a 55.
I have overall found playing a Ritualist to be much more fun than a Necro. I love my Necromancer of course, but I was just never able to stick with him the same way I was with my Ritualist.
Last but not least: we get the Napoleon Dynamite dance, which is totally awesome
However in the end, it depends on you. Play all three and see which one you end up playing the most, then focus on that one.

I just can't bring myself to make a necro... I CAN'T! Ritualists can be great healers if you give them the chance... especially with attuned was songai... or however it's spelled
many of the weapon spells are just made of sex and win.... i should just start playing my rit more... he is my fav caster.

My most played character is a Ritualist and I also love the Necromancer to bits. I have also been playing a mesmer as a ritualist in a fun group called the Mesmerangers and the ritualist is incredibly versatile. You can play the healer with cool Restoration Skills. The Attacker with Channeling. The spirit mortar bomber with communing. The MM bombers with necro as secondary. You can have a lot of fun as a Rit.

Well, necro used to be my fave class and I can't delete any of em (got three) but they nerfed the primary to something silly and now Rit is definitely a better class to play for me.
If I would start playing now instead of 2.5 years ago I don't think I would end up with 3 necro's again.
Just my view.

You have a monk (for healing) and an elementalist (for ranged damage).
The necromancer is the logical choice to keep.
I personally prefer the ritualist over the necromancer in my gameplay, but that is primarily because I want the versatility (and power) of combining healing with damage that the ritualist offers.

It is most certainly a tough choice, and one not to be taken lightyly. Personally? I would keep all three, you must have invested at least some time into them and grown attached to them as well. If nothing else, use the classes you play the least as Storage. (I do.)
However, were I to choose a one class out of the three of them...I'd say Ritualist simply for A: It's versatility and B: It's just a fun class to play from personal experience. Mind you, as is Necromancer with Minions and SS....Still, you have my input so I hope it has helped somewhat. Rit FTW.
